Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment says: “Why do one when you can do all three!” That’s exactly what just happened with the news this week that all three of the Danny Ocean heist capers will be available as newly-minted 4K Ultra HD editions on Apr. 30.
They are available individually or as a box set (priced pretty much as a buy two, get one free discount).
We know the films, no mystery here, so let’s get to the bonus features for a trilogy of films that have grossed $526 million in their domestic theatrical runs.
Ocean’s Eleven features two commentary options — one with director Steven Soderbergh and writer/producer Ted Griffin and the second with actors Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Andy Garcia.
There are also five featurettes — “Are You In or Out? The Making of Ocean’s Eleven,” “Pros & Cons: Inside Ocean’s Outfit,” “The Style of Steal,” “The Look of the Con” and “Original Ocean’s, Original Cool.”
Ocean’s Twelve includes deleted scenes, commentary by Soderbergh and writer George Nolfi and two featurettes — “Ready, Jet Set, Go: The Making of Ocean’s Twelve” and “HBO First Look: Twelve Is the New Eleven: The Making of Ocean's Twelve.”
And finally, Ocean’s Thirteen arrives as a 4K Ultra HD releases with deleted scenes, commentary by Steven Soderbergh, Brian Koppelman and David Levien, plus a trio of featurettes — “Ahab with a Piggyback: The Means & Machines of Ocean’s.” “Jerry Weintraub Walk and Talk” and “Masters of the Heist.”
