Mill Creek Entertainment will be releasing a three-disc Blu-ray set titled Icons Unearthed: Marvel on Jan. 14.
This eight-segment mini-series will be a must-have for fans of all-things Marvel (Marvel Films, Marvel Studios … comic books, television series, etc.).
The founding and early history of Marvel (beginning in 1993 with Avi Arad) are explored, including the “learning curse” relationship with a major Hollywood studio, a planned bankruptcy and a fresh start with the arrival of Kevin Feige (circa 2007).
An incredible string of “super hero” hits followed … Iron Man (2008), The Incredible Hulk (also 2008), Thor (2011), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), The Avengers (2012), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Ant-Man (2015), Doctor Strange (2016) and the arrival of Spider-Man: Home Coming in 2017 … and more (plus all the sequels and series that followed)!
Go behind the scenes and see how the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe was created. Plus there are five hours worth of bonus interviews with the likes of actor Lou Ferrigno, writer Mark Millar, actor/director Clark Gregg, actor JJ Field and writer J. Michael Straczynski.
If you have your own Marvel film library (collection), then Icons Unearthed: Marvel on Blu-ray from Mill Creek Entertainment on Jan. 14 is a must!
