Eagle Rock Entertainment
announced this past week that Blu-ray and DVD editions of Deep Purple With Orchestra: Live
in Verona will be heading to retail on Oct. 21.
Filmed live during their
summer of 2001 tour at the Arena di Verona (a venue dating from 30 AD) while on
the group’s “The Songs That Built Rock Tour,” this spectacular show features an
18-song set, plus four instrumental solos and an opening “Deep Purple Overture.”
Included in the mix are
“Highway Star,” “Strange Kind of Woman,” “Space Truckin',” “Perfect Strangers”
and “Black Night.”
