Paramount Home Media and Nickelodeon
have selected Dec. 12 as the street date for the farewell DVD release of the latest
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cycle.
The
DVD release is titled Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The
Final Chapters, it comes home on DVD as a double-disc set and showcases
the final adventures in this popular Nickelodeon Animation Studio CGI series,
including episodes that are just about to air.
This collection features
the “Usagi Yojimbo” saga (Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo team
with Usagi Yojimbo, a samurai rabbit, to battle Tiger Claw and Kavaxas), the “Raphael:
Mutant Apocalypse” cycle (with Mona Lisa and Sal Commander) and the “Savanti
Romero” cycle featuring some classic monsters in New York City.
Also getting a release
date this week is the documentary filmmaking team of Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk’s
An
Inconvenient Sequel: Truth To Power.
It will be available on Oct. 24 as both DVD and Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack
editions.
The ARR comes in at 88
days and box office receipts currently stand at $3.5 million.
Bonus goodies, which are
limited to the Blu-ray SKU, include the featurettes titled “Change: Speaking
Truth to Power” and “Truth in Ten: The Facts About Climate Change” and the
OneRepublic music video, “Truth to Power.”
