Three full hours of super-hero action is what Walt
Disney Studios Home Entertainment has planned for Aug. 13. That’s the street for a three-SKU helping of
the directing team of Anthony and Joe Russo’s mega-hit, Avengers:
Endgame.
The ARR is 109 days and box office receipts were in
the stratosphere with an eye-popping take of $834.6 million.
Planned for consumer consumption are Combo Pack
editions for both 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray) and Blu-ray (with DVD), plus a
stand-alone DVD editions (both Target and Best Buy will have their own special
edition releases).
As to bonuses, there is a commentary option teaming
co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo with writers Christopher Markus and Stephen
McFeely (the four of them also delivered Avengers:
Infinity War, Captain
America: Civil War and Captain
America: The Winter Soldier).
There are also a half-dozen deleted scenes, a gag
reel, an intro by the Russo Brothers, a tribute to the late Stan Lee (titled
“Remembering Stan Lee”) and six featurettes — “Setting The Tone: Casting Robert
Downey Jr.,” “A Man Out of Time: Creating Captain America,” “Black Widow:
Whatever It Takes,” “The Russo Brothers: Journey to Endgame,” “The Women of the
MCU” and “Bro Thor.”
