Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Targets Sept. 24 As The Street Date For Director Tim Story's Shaft

The news popped up on a couple of retail sites, but nothing official from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment … that is until Thursday afternoon, Aug. 15.   Everything rumored turns out to be true!!

Director Tim Story’s latest Shaft installment will be making the transition from multiplex venues to the home entertainment packaged media marketplace on Sept. 24 as DVD and Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack editions.

The ARR works out to 102 days and the domestic box office haul currently stands at $21.4 million.

Three generations of Shaft — Shaft (Richard Roundtree), Shaft II (Samuel L. Jackson) and JJ Shaft (Jessie T. Usher) — team to battle drug dealers, potential terrorists and solve the murder of a close friend!

As to bonus features, common to both release SKUs is the featurette titled “Can Ya Dig It? The Making of Shaft.”   

Exclusive to the Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack are a gag reel, deleted scenes and a three part look at the “The Shaft Legacy” — “Part One: A Bad Mother Born,” “Part Two: No Questions Asked” and “Part Three: A Legend of His Time.”
