Bayview Entertainment Picks Dec. 8 As The DVD Release Date For Writer/Director Gregory Gieras' Centipede!

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey

Bayview Entertainment has tabbed Dec. 8 for the DVD release of writer/director Gregory Gieras’ underground chiller, Centipede!

If the locals won’t go in the spooky cave, there is probably a pretty good reason.   But Jake (Trevor Murphy — Ready or Not, Strictly Sexual, Wrong Way to Sundance) has other ideas and he’s managed to talk his buddy David Stone (Larry Casey) into going along with him on this screwball adventure.   Indeed, he thinks it is a damn good idea to go all the way to the bottom of India’s Shankali Caverns, which run to the depth of something like 15,000 feet, and he not only wants David to go with him, but their friends as well

Now genre fans recognize the “friends” as the victim pool, especially after one of the locals, Ravi (Anuj Gurwara), gathers them around a campfire and cautions them about entering the Shankali Caverns (actually filmed on location in India).   Something evil lurks therein; demons … many have entered, but few have ever returned.

Centipede! is, of course, a creature feature.   Like giant spiders and other creepy things in deep dark caves, it has fun with the concept.   David and Jake, bring their friends on this fun little adventure, including both Sara (Margaret Cash) and Zoe (Danielle Kirlin), and into the side of the mountain they go … in no time they are trapped.

Not to panic, they will just find another way out.   But then, they discover why the locals steer clear of this place, a giant flesh-eating centipede.   The battle is on and as luck would have it, they are able to cleave the beast in half … world saved!!

Now if you are a fan of creature features you know that was a pyrrhic victory as all they’ve done is create two flesh-eating centipedes in the process.   Who survives, who dies … Dec. 8, Centipede! on DVD from Bayview Entertainment to find out!!
