Writer/Director Nathan Letteer's Monster Force Zero On DVD From Wild Eye Releasing On Dec. 15

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey

Your comic book dreams are about to go down the drain … what do you do?

For that answer, check out the Wild Eye Releasing DVD news for Dec. 15 — MVD Entertainment Group will be providing sales and distribution support.

That’s when writer/director Nathan Letteer’s Monster Force Zero makes its home entertainment packaged media debut.

Adam Singer (Jurassic Dead) stars as the nerdy Calvin Cashill, who prefers the nickname “A.I.” … he’s a comic book artist/creator; a geek.   But things are not looking too good for his fledgling enterprise.

What to do, what to do … of course, let’s go to the local cosplay/comic book convention and do a little self-promotion.   It seemed like a terrific idea, so A.I., along his fellow comic book creators, Ammorama (Aeon Cruz) and Kadabra Couture (Dalena Nguyen), show up, decked out in their cosplay character costumes … and no one cares.  There are so many!!!

But wait, the “Destroyers of Destruction,” a group of cosplay bullies spot the hapless trio and challenge to a faceoff, it will be an easy mop-up job.   Comic Con and cosplay fans understand all of that, which to average mortal seems a bit silly, but a challenge can be pretty serious thing.

Before you can say “shazam,” A.I.’s Monster Force Zero team overcomes the DoD challenge and, as a reward(???), they are whisked off to an alternate universe to battle the evil Doctor Eeche (Rachel Darden).   Outmatched?   Never, they now have the super-powers that their characters possess in the comic book world and are ready to take all sorts of evil.

Writer/director Nathan Letteer’s Monster Force Zero is an action-filled homage to all things cosplay and Comic Con … for those fans, this is a fun trip into the world of over-active imagination; a geek world; a nerd world.   So, check it out on Dec. 15!!
