MVD Entertainment Group Resurrects GG Allin Performance DVDs On Jan. 15

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey

He died at just 36-years of age.  Drugs.   Nevertheless, GG Allin continues to have his fans some 27-years after his death.   Maybe it was the music.   Perhaps it was his “in-your-face” live performances.   Regardless, the legend lives.

MVD Entertainment Group will be re-issuing two GG Allin DVDs in the New Year … these will be once again available on Friday, January 15, 2021.

First issued way, way back in 2004, GG Allin and the Murder Junkies: Raw, Brutal, Rough and Bloody features three of his “concert” shows from 1991, which followed his release from prison in March of 1991 (GG Allin had a tendency to assault his fans, with the chaos often causing heavy damage to the club venues).   Allin and the Murder Junkies took to the road and MVD has the Sept. 27 show in San Diego, the Chicago stop from Oct. 10 and from Atlanta on Nov. 20 we wrap it up.

Song selections include “Bite it You Scum” (from the “You’ll Never Tame Me” CD), “I Wanna Rape You” (from the “Public Animal #1 album) and “Hanging Out With Jim” (from the 1989 audio cassette release of “Anti-Social Personality Disorder – Live … later released on CD) … and more, many more (titles of which are a little anti-social).

Also being made available once again on DVD on Jan. 15, 2021 is the 2005 release of GG Allin & the Murder Junkies: Savage South Best of 1992 Tour.

After the “success” of the 1991 “on parole” tour, GG Allin & the Murder Junkies embarked on the “Savage South” tour, which proved to be his undoing (sent back to prison to finish out his sentence).   This DVD captures three of the shows from February of 1992 … the Wreck Room in Atlanta and two stops in Texas, the DMZ in San Antonio and the Cavity Club in Austin.

Songs included here are: “I Live to be Hated” (from one of his bootlegged cassettes … never officially released), “I Love Nothing” and “Kill the Police” (both from the “Murder Junkies” CD) … and yes, plenty more.
