The film just opened in theatres on Mar. 5 (after being pulled from its original Thanksgiving launch window) and will make the quick transition home with an ARR of just 74 days.
With a reported production budget of $100 million, domestic ticket sales currently stand at just $16 million, which is kind of sad for a major animated film from Disney … but that’s the way it is these days. The good news (for those half-full glass individuals) is that the $16 million box office haul places Raya and the Last Dragon in the top ten grossing films for 2021.
Planned for release are Combo Pack editions for the 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray) and Blu-ray (with DVD) formats, plus a stand-alone DVD edition.
Bonus features include the animated short film titled Us Again, outtakes, storyboards, five deleted scenes and three production featurettes — “Raya: Bringing it Home,” “Martial Artists” and “We are Kumandra.”
