Blue Underground Tabs Nov. 22 As The Street Date For 4K Ultra HD And Blu-ray Editions Of Director Don Taylor's The Final Countdown

Blue Underground, with sales and distribution support provided by MVD Entertainment Group, has selected Nov. 22 for the return of director Don Taylor’s 1980 sci-gem, The Final Countdown, to the 4K Ultra HD marketplace. 

A limited edition was released — a 4K restoration from the original 35mm camera negative — in April of 2021.  

Also, on Nov. 22, Blue Underground will be releasing The Final Countdown: 4K Restoration Edition on Blu-ray.

Bonus features include commentary with the director of photography Victor J. Kemper (Xanadu, National Lampoon's Vacation, Clue, etc.) and two vintage featurettes — “Lloyd Kaufman Goes Hollywood” and “Starring the Jolly Rogers.”
