In a quick-to-market announcement this past week,
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has tabbed Sept. 13 as the street date for
Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack and stand-alone DVD editions of director Olivia Newman’s
film adaptation of Delia Owens’ 2018 best-selling novel (over 15 million copies
and counting), Where the Crawdads Sing.
The ARR is a swift-to-market 60 days and box office
receipts are an audience-pleasing $85.8 million.
Bonus goodies a selection of 14 deleted and/or extended
scenes and a trio of featurettes — “Adapting a Phenomenon,” “Creating the
World” and “Women in Focus.”
