Writer/Director Matt Osterman's Bitcon On Its Way To DVD On Oct. 18 From Mill Creek Entertainment

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph TribbeyMill Creek Entertainment announced this past week that writer/director Matt Osterman’s “new age” heist thriller, Bitcon.

The con is on this coming Oct. 18 with the DVD debut of Bitcon.

In a world of cryptocurrency, wealth is measured in digital bits — not gold, not silver … not cash — and that value can fluctuate wildly.   It’s the Wild West; the NEW Wild West, and that’s were Ty Adams (Noah Anderson — Broken Cross, Notes of Depressant) and his “partner,” Jess (Ella Ma), find themselves when a hard drive — with a “private key” — supplied to them by a shady pawn shop owner (played by Jeremy Davies … as Dickie in the Justified series and as Daniel Widmore in Lost), becomes the object of everyone’s “affection” (replace that with lust, greed, etc.) when the value of the hard drive escalates and all semblance of civilized behavior goes out the window.

Inspired by an actual event where a hard drive with 8,000 bitcoins went missing and the search became frantic when the value of the “missing” object was suddenly worth millions.

Who can you trust?   Your “business partner” (Bruce Bohne — Fargo, Patch Adams, Killer Movie), who would kill you for a donut, the tech guy who operates out of a storage facility (played by Frank Whaley) … the answer: no one, especially not these people!!

Don’t give up the drive.   Don’t give up the key.   Keep moving … stay alive.
