Mill Creek Entertainment Looks To Apr. 25 For The Release Of Director Brian Volk-Weiss' The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek Mini-Series

Mill Creek Entertainment has selected Apr. 25 as the street date for a four-disc DVD collection of director Brian Volk-Weiss’s eleven-part mini-series/documentary titled The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek.  

The executive producer and narrator is none other than Doctor Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden).

The series premiered on the History Channel back in October of 2021 and features extensive footage from the various Star Trek television and theatrical productions, plus in-depth interviews and insights with various cast members, including Nichelle Nichols, Kirstie Alley, Walter Koenig, Brent Spiner, Denise Crosby, Wil Wheaton, Robert Picardo and more … it is an impressive list.

The series itself is broken down into segments related to various aspects of the series and peppered with “behind-the-curtain” production stories.

The series plays out on the first three-discs in the set, with the fourth containing additional nuggets, including extended interview sessions with Leonard Nimoy, Nichelle Nichols and Kirstie Alley.
