This is a no-brainer, nyuk nyuk nyuk! If you are a fan of the Three Stooges this is a must. Especially if you have the Sony Pictures Home Entertainment multi-volume collection of their short films in your library.
Kit Parker Films, with sales and distribution support provided by MVD Entertainment Group, has set July 11 as the street for the must-have collection titled Stooge O-Rama. Three-disc DVD and Blu-ray sets are the collecting options.
So, what is in store for you Stooge fans, nyuk nyuk nyuk!! For starters, just to get you warmed up, there’s documentary filmmaker Paul E. Gierucki’s Christmas of 1994 “Biography” presentation titled Stooges: The Men Behind the Mayhem (this is the updated version with additional material).
Included with documentary are extended interviews with Larry Fine’s sister, Lyla Fine Budnick, their stage show sound man, Nate Budnick, voice actor Billy West and actress Lola Jensen (as the “Singing Sister” in Yes, We Have No Bonanza and as Crickett Kelly in Flat Foot Stooges).
That’s just disc one in the set, which also includes Lyla Fine Budnick’s personal scrapbook (family photos) and a collection of Stooge memorabilia.
The second disc is pack with vintage shorts, newsreel footage, featurettes and more, including the 1934 short film with Shemp, Everybody Likes Music, and a live performance of Mousie Garner’s stage act at the 1994 Three Stooge Convention in Trevose, Pennsylvania.
Rounding out this jam-packed Stoogefest, nyuk nyuk nyuk, are a bonanza of Stooge television commercials, 18 theatrical movie trailers and a massive collection of audio files, including interviews, skits and more.
