Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has revealed that Aug. 1 will be the street date for a full spread of home entertainment packed media product offerings for writer/director James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.
Domestic box office receipts currently stand at $346.4 million and the ARR (number of days from its theatrical debut to home entertainment release date) comes in at 88 days.
Planned for release are stand-alone DVD and Blu-ray editions, plus a 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack buying option.
Disney is offering an early VOD window of July 7 (counting the hours until “helpers”/“void-fillers” begin taking “pre-orders” for early-release Blu-ray editions).
Bonus goodies kick off with commentary by director James Gunn (The Suicide Squad, Slither), his third trip to the winner’s circle with tales of his Galaxy Guardian clan (the third installment was not without a “misstep” by Disney at one point … mildly, speaking).
Other bonus features include a gag reel, eight deleted scenes and two featurettes — “The Imperfect, Perfect Family” and “Creating Rocket Raccoon.”
