Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is moving writer/director Bill Holderman’s Book Club: The Next Chapter, starring Diane Keaton, Mary Steenburgen, Candice Bergen and Jane Fonda, quickly to the home entertainment marketplace with the announcement of a July 11 street date.
This second street-date Tuesday in July release window for DVD and Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack editions yields an ARR of just 60 days. The film’s domestic theatrical release had a soft landing with $17.5 million in ticket sales — the early VOD window has already generated “helper” activity on the DVD release front (June 13 early arrival).
Bonus features include a trio of featurettes — “Book Club: Back in Session,” “Still Stylish” and “The Women in Italy.”
