Shout! Factory’s film acquisition, production and distribution arm, Shout! Studios, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with a new logo.
On the horizon from “Shout! Studios 20 Years” are director Orson Oblowitz’s Showdown at the Grand, teaming Terrence Howard and Dolph Lundgren and the recently acquired The Kill Room, directed by Nicol Paone (Friendsgiving), and showcasing the talents of Uma Thurman, Joe Manganiello, Samuel L. Jackson and Thurman’s daughter, Maya Hawke (Stranger Things fans will certainly have this film on their must-see list).
Also coming soon from Shout! Studios is Head Count, starring Aaron Jakubenko, Melanie Zanetti and Ryan Kwanten; with direction by the Burghart Brothers (Jacob and Ben).
In the more immediate future, Shout! Studios will be guiding The Asylum production of director Christopher Ray’s Assault on Hill 400 to the Blu-ray marketplace on Aug. 01.
Michael Madsen, William Baldwin and Eric Roberts star in this World War II story based on the protracted Battle of Hürtgen Forest. This turned out to be the longest single engagement (three months in duration) in the history of the United States Army.
