Wild Eye Releasing Has DVD And Blu-ray Editions Of Writer/Director Anthony Catanese's Caddy Hack Ready For Delivery On Oct. 24

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey, @dvdblurayreport

The trailer dropped in early June and then word quickly spread that writer/director Anthony Catanese’s latest, Caddy Hack, would be getting a special showcase screening at Kevin Smith’s Smodcastle Theatre (Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey) on Aug. 11.

The hook is in … this is now must-see material for genre fans!!

Wild Eye Releasing, with sales and distribution support provided by MVD Entertainment Group, will have Blu-ray and DVD editions ready for just that on Oct. 24.

There is a similar themed comedy from 1980 that you might recall.   If so, then you have a rough understanding of the over-the-top plot elements here.   Golf course, crazed groundskeeper and gophers (Geomys Bursarius if you want to get technical) battle to the death.

Only this time, the gophers, because of chemicals being used on the golf course, have mutated into — you are not going to believe this — killer gophers.   And they are smart and organized … their adversaries, not so much.

Bonus goodies include commentary from director Anthony Catanese (Hi-Fear, Hi-Death, Sodomaniac, Girls Just Wanna Have Blood … the “Doc Rotten” music videos) and producer Rob Hauschild (the producer of director Mark Polonia aquarium of shark-themed DVDs), outtakes, behind-the-scenes footage, the “Old Glory Holes” commercial, the featurette titled “Caddy Hack Rap,” a karaoke sing-a-long for “Balls Deep” and the “Brew Break Drinking Game.”

The special features are a dead giveaway … horror-themed fun — with mutated killer gophers — that will be heading your way on Oct. 24 from Wild Eye Releasing.    DVD and Blu-ray, get yours!!
