Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Moves Director Robert Eggers' Nosferatu To The Physical Media Marketplace With Lightning Speed On Feb. 18

@dvdblurayreport, Ralph Tribbey, DVD and Blu-ray Release Report
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will be moving director Robert Eggers’ remake of Nosferatu to the physical media market place in lightning-quick fashion on Feb. 18.

That street date for DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack editions yields an ARR of just 55 days.   The domestic box office gross currently stands at $91.2 million (against an industry reported production budget of $50 million).

This marks the third time that Nosferatu has reached cinemas — F. W. Murnau’s 1922 silent classic and again with auteur filmmaker Werner Herzog’s brilliant vision in 1979.

Universal has tabbed Jan. 21 as the VOD launch date, which gives the “Helper” community just four short weeks to peddle their own Blu-ray editions to unsuspecting genre fans.

As to bonus features, we begin with an extended cut of the film and commentary from filmmaker Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman).

There are also deleted scenes and seven production featurettes — “Nosferatu: A Modern Masterpiece,” “Breathing Life Into a Dream,” “Becoming Count Orlok,” “Capturing the Mood,” “Recreating 1838,” “Dressing the Part” and “The End is Just the Beginning.”
