Meet Lamb (Julianne Hough
— Rock
of Ages, Footloose, Safe Haven, etc.), she’s a
21-year-old devout Christian, a proper, God-fearing young woman out of Montana,
who, well, is in for a shock.
She’s the subject of
writer/director Diablo Cody’s Paradise, due out from Image
Entertainment on both DVD and Blu-ray on Nov. 12 … a mid-October release in
theatres (to raise awareness) is also planned.
After a near-fatal plane
crash leaves her seriously burned, Lamb’s faith is tested when she decides to
use her insurance payout to try out a list of untried sins in the only place
appropriate in the nation: Las Vegas.
A bartender named William
(Russell Brand) and a card dealer known as Loray (Octavia Spencer — The
Help, Fruitvale Station) help out with the little things: binge
drinking, tattoos and quite a bit of soul-searching.
Bonuses include an audio
commentary with writer/director Diablo Cody (Oscar-winner for her Juno
script and creator of the United States of Tara comedy
series), behind-the-scenes footage and a trailer.
