Screen Media's Plague Makes Its Domestic DVD Debut On Aug. 25

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey
Australia prepares to take a bite out of the living on Aug. 25 with the DVD debut of the directing team of Nick and Kosta Ouzas’ Plague.

Screen Media has picked up the domestic distribution for this outback thriller from down under and with that near-Labor Day release date that they set the timing seems to be spot-on to take advantage of Warner Bros. release of Mad Max: Fury Road about the same time.

Plague deals with the same sort of post-apocalyptic issues — survival; staying one step of what hunts you, etc. — but in the case of our Aussie heroine named Evie (Tegan Crowley), she not only has to fight off those infected with a civilization-ending viral plague, but a psychopathic predator who views the post-apocalyptic landscape as a fertile hunting ground.   Talk about your “frying pan” and “fire” scenarios!!!
