Wild Eye Releasing, with sales and distribution support
provided by MVD Entertainment Group, has selected July 21 for the DVD release
of The
Horror Of H.P. Lovecraft.
This film anthology, very much in the tradition of the
Hammer and Amicus horror anthologies of the 1970s, assembles ten filmmakers and
their collective interpretations (in short form) of Lovecraft’s works.
The connecting element, titled
“Lovecracked!,” has a nerd journalist (played by Elias … who also produced)
trying to ferret out the works and life of the legendary H. P. Lovecraft.
The various segments included such ditties as
“Re-Penetrator,” “Chaos of Flesh” and “BugBoy.”
