Severin Films, with sales and distribution support provided by MVD Entertainment Group, has a new 4K Ultra DVD Combo Pack edition of director Marino Girolami’s 1980 (1982, domestic) horror treasure, Doctor Butcher M.D., ready for genre fans to savor on Nov. 28.

If you are looking to upgrade to 4K, then this is your chance.  If this ‘80s horror gem has eluded you until now, this is the perfect opportunity to add this double-disc 4K Ultra HD/double-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack to your genre library.

This is what Severin has lined up for you.   You get the 1982 domestic theatrical release of Doctor Butcher M.D., which includes the “Butchery & Ballyhoo” video session with Terry Levene of Aquarius Releasing (domestic distributor of the film back in 1982) and the Roy Frumkes' segment of the planned, but unfinished horror anthology titled Tales that Will Tear Your Heart Out (which includes commentary).

Next, there is a mind-numbing (in a very good way) collection of production featurettes and video sessions — “The Four Boroughs of Blood,”  “Down on the Deuce,” “Tales that Tore Our Hearts Out,” “The Butcher Mobile,” “Cutting Doctor Butcher,” “Blood of the Zombies,” “Neurosurgery Italian Style” and “Sherry Holocaust.”

None done yet!  There is also a video session with Girolami’s son, filmmaker Enzo G. Castellari (Warriors of the Wasteland, Escape from the Bronx), plus a comparison of New York film locations in 1980 and again in 2015 … and to top everything off, Ian McCulloch (Dr. Butcher himself) sings “Down By The River.”

Still not done!!   The companion 4K Ultra HD disc (and Blu-ray) contains the original Italian cut of the film, Zombie Holocaust.

Circle the date on the calendar, Nov. 28, for the 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack presentation of Zombie Holocaust and the domestic re-edited version, Doctor Butcher M.D., from Severin Films … you will not be disappointed!
