Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Makes Lightning-Quick Transition With Director Josh Greenbaum's Strays From Theatrical Exbition To The Home Entertainment Marketplace In Just 53 Days

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will be gathering up director Josh Greenbaum’s Strays and zipping it to the home entertainment packaged media marketplace on Oct. 10 as both DVD and Blu-ray product offerings.

The ARR for this Will Ferrell (double duty as Doug and the voice of Reggie) and Jamie Foxx (voice of Bug) talking dogs comedy is a zippy 53 days and the domestic box office haul was $23.9 million, against a reported production budget of $46 million (Deadline Hollywood).

Planned for distribution are a Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack and a stand-alone DVD edition.

Bonus goodies for Strays include commentary with director/producer Josh Greenbaum, who is joined by screenwriter/producer Dan Perrault, plus a half-dozen featurettes — “Talk Like a Dog,” “The Ultimate Treat: Making Strays,” “Poop, Booms and Shrooms,” “Will Forte: Stray Actor,” “Training to be Stray” and “A New Best Friend.”
