Paramount Home Entertainment Prepares Both DVD And Blu-ray Editions Of The Lawmen: Bass Reeves Mini-Series For Release On Jan. 23

Paramount Home Entertainment has selected Jan. 23 as the street date for both DVD and Blu-ray editions of the Chad Feehan mini-series adaptation of Sidney Thompson’s series “Follow the Angels, Follow the Doves: The Bass Reeves Trilogy,” which titled for broadcast as simply Lawmen: Bass Reeves.

Starring David Oyelowo as U.S. Deputy Marshall Bass Reeves — the first black man to serve in that position west of the Mississippi River (from 1875 to 1893) — Lawmen: Bass Reeves rolled out as an eight-part mini-series beginning on Nov. 5 and concluding on Dec. 17 (which keeps the pirates at bay until the series is completed).

Paramount Home Entertainment is releasing the complete series as both double-disc DVD and double-disc Blu-ray collections.   There are not details as to any bonus features at this time.
