On Oct. 23, Cinema Libre
will be releasing documentary filmmaker Dastan Khalili’s Master, a look at the
life and career of Grandmaster Zhou Ting Jue, whose controversial technique of
Qi Gong has attracted a loyal following entertainment and sports figures.
But what of his origins,
which are shrouded in mystery? That is
the focus of Khalili's film, a journey with Zhou and his granddaughter to China
and an exploration of his early training.
Master is presented in
Mandarin with English subtitles and features deleted scenes and Zhou’s segment
on Ripley’s
Believe it or Not.
