There was more good Blu-ray release news from Mill Creek Entertainment this past week. The 1996 Sandra Bullock comedy, Two if by Sea, was an early DVD with an accompanying day/date VHS release (during the transition period from VHS to DVD) and has now been out of print for going on 20 years.
That all changes on July 13!!
Mill Creek has set aside this mid-July street-date Tuesday for the Blu-ray debut of director Bill Bennett’s caper-comedy teaming Sandra Bullock with Denis Leary.
Frank (Denis Leary) is an inept thief who unknowingly has pulled off a major art heist, a painting, not worth a few thousand dollars, but over $4 million. He takes his long-suffering girlfriend, Roz (Sandra Bullock), on a weekend road trip to dispose of the painting and pick up some quick cash.
What the pair don’t know is that the FBI is hot on their trail, with agent O’Malley (Yaphet Kotto) leading the way. Their lives are about to get very complicated,
Sandra Bullock was hot at the time with Speed, While You Were Sleeping, The Net and A Time to Kill, however Two if by Sea sort of got lost in the shuffle and then after its initial release was overlooked … Mill Creek to the rescue on July 13, thank you!
