Century-Fox Home Entertainment has picked Feb. 5 for the delivery of a
three-SKU helping of director Steve McQueen’s Widows, a double-cross
heist thriller starring Viola Davis, Elizabeth Debicki and Michelle Rodriguez as
the widows of professional bank robbers who take up the trade when their
spouses are killed in a botched heist.
The ARR is a
swift-to-market 81 days and ticket sales were a healthy $42.2 million.
Planned for release are
Combo Pack editions for both Blu-ray (with DVD) and 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray)
formats, plus a stand-alone DVD edition.
Bonus goodies for Widows
consist of four featurettes — “Widows Unmasked: A Chicago Story,” “Plotting the
Heist: The Story,” “Assembling the Crew: Production” and “The Scene of the
Crime: Locations.”
